The Art of Natural Retouching

2-Session Online Workshop

Modern cameras capture an incredible amount of detail — more than the human eye sees. This can make skin look harsh, uneven, and overly textured. Professional retouching is about restoring natural tone and texture so the image looks real.

In this workshop, I’ll take you through my personal retouching workflow — a method based on techniques used by high-end retouchers and professional studios.

This method allows you to remove temporary blemishes, even out skin tone, and keep real skin texture intact — so the retouching is invisible.

Natural skin. Real texture. Invisible retouching.

Why this matters

Astute viewers such as experienced photographers or high-end magazine/commercial clients can see when an image has been retouched and can also see clearly what method’s been used. If you’re using a smoothing filter of some kind, or app or plugin, it will downgrade your work and it will be quickly dismissed.

That’s the difference you’ll learn in this workshop. It will give you a fast, professional workflow using the same core techniques used in high-end portrait retouching.
