I feel very honoured to have been able to be interviewed by Dan Hostettler who runs a large knowledge-based website of tutorials and information for photographers and models involved in nude photography and all the derivatives of that including art nude, boudoir etc.
Dan had come all the way from Prague, where he is based. He was interviewing a handful of other photographers and models in Australia whose work is based around the nude female form. I arranged Italian model Flavia - for the shoot (Dan would also interview her) and decided on a location out near Cape Banks which I had used recently to great effect - Dan was going to shoot behind the scenes footage of the shoot as well as a few on site interviews.
Only trouble with the location was the fact it was a very bright, sunny Summer's day and we were shooting at midday. So some of the shoot was challenging but the bright light did allow me to find my favourite light for a few shots - and I love those shots. Having said that, normally I wouldn't have gone to this particular spot at midday!
It was strange being videoed while we worked, Flavia also found this a bit weird but I reckon we flowed OK and shot almost as we would normally do - still there was a missing element, things kind of felt staged.
The video preview can be seen below - while the full 1 hour video will be released via Dan's website after it's been edited and prepared for publication.
