For this shoot, I collaborated with Ruth Harrison. Ruth did an amazing job on both makeup and also with the wardrobe, which was a tremendous help. She set up her mobile kit in one of the smaller stone buildings at the location and even though there were a few drops of early rain, it stayed dry for most of the shoot.
The model was Prasanthi - a stunning looking Indian medical student who is in her final year of medicine at UWS. Prasanthi didn't have a lot of modelling experience prior to this shoot but you wouldn't know it when viewing the resulting images. We started off with the most natural look - little makeup, wild hair and a simple cream coloured dress. These are my favourite shots and they were shot with the Pentax 67 and Tri-X - of course. I think we went through about 3 or 4 wardrobe changes during the 3 hour shoot which culminated in my favourite old stone building - in the hallway. If you get it at the right time, the sun streams down the hallway creating an amazing backlit composition.
